SO WHAT'S AN OVERCOMER ANYWAY?
The Overcomers are one of the many ABF's (Adult Bible Fellowships) at Bethel Temple. Our class is the "40 something" age group, and we meet every Sunday morning at 9:30, in the Skylight room. If you don't happen to be in the 40's age range, don't let that stop you from visiting with us! The fact is, we have members of various ages, and if you are (or want to be) an "overcomer" in the biblical sense (1John 5:4,5), then you are welcome to our class, regardless of age.
The ABF (Adult Bible Fellowships) concept can be described by the acronym CARE:

The missioin of every ABF is to provide discipleship training for each person, in all age groups within the Church, in accord with the words of the apostle Paul:
| "for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ."

The Overcomers class is committed to this goal through fellowship, classroom teaching and discussion, and "bearing one another's burdens" in prayer. We are learning to be successful in our personal lives, and effective witnesses of the power and love of Jesus Christ, through consistent study and application of the Word of God!
Teaching and fellowship are a vital part of every Christian life for growth and stability! If you are not currently involved in a small group fellowship you are invited to visit with us in the Skylight room any Sunday morning at 9:30. Come early (about 9:15) for refreshments.
ABOUT BETHEL TEMPLE
Bethel Temple is affiliated with the Assemblies of God and has been sharing the "full gospel" message in the Canton, Ohio area for nearly a century. Our vision statement is:
"A Great Commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission will build a Great Church."
We offer Bible training and social activities for all ages... a nursery for infants, Sunday School classes for toddlers and up, and a thriving youth group for teenagers. Other Adult Bible Fellowships include:
