An Interview with God
______________________________________________________________

What if you could have an interview with God?... what would you ask Him?... what would He say to you?

If you have the "Flash" player installed on your computer you can view the short presentation "Another  Interview with God," just click on the link below!
NOTE: It will take a few minutes for the movie to download if you have a dial-up modem, but it's' worth the wait.

"Gospel" means GOOD NEWS! The "good news"  taught in the Bible is this: "God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him would not perish but have eternal life" --John 3:16.

Most people don't think of the spiritual world as having "laws,"  but just as there are physical laws that govern the physical universe, so are there "spiritual" laws, or principles, which govern our relationship with God! These laws, or principles, may be stated as follows::

THE LAW OF DESIGN (Genesis 1:27,28,31; Jeremiah 29:11)
- God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life

THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH (Genesis 2:16,17; Romans 3:23; James 1:14,15)
- Man is sinful and separated from God. Therefore he cannot know and experience God's love and plan for his life.

THE LAW OF LIFE IN CHRIST JESUS (John 10:10; John 14:6; Romans 8:1,2)
- God made provision through the person of Jesus Christ to conquer sin and death and bring life to lost men. Jesus Christ is the only way to God.

THE LAW OF CHOICE (John 3:16; John 1:12; Romans 10:9)
- We must personally receive Jesus Christ as both Savior and Lord; only then can we know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

If you could get an interview with God and ask Him anything, what would you ask? Some would want to know why He allows suffering in the world; others might wonder... if He really loves us, why does He place all these restrictions on us? - thou shalt not this, thou shalt not that.  And, no doubt, there are many more such questions that might be asked. But the answer to all of them is found in the Bible, God's holy word!

Suffering, disease, poverty, etc... all are caused by man's original sin. God's original creation was perfect and man enjoyed intimate relationship with God daily, in a special place - the garden. There was no sickness, disease, suffering, or death in man's original environment. But Satan deceived man into thinking God was witholding something good from him, and so, sin (which is transgression of God's law) came into the world and caused death. This principle of death by transgression can easily be illustrated in physical terms. If you jump out of an airplane at 29,000 feet, without a parachute, you will surely fall to your death! Why? Because you "transgressed" the law of gravity! When Adam disobeyed God's command, he transgressed God's law, causing immediate death - not physical death, but spiritual death.  For the first time, when God came into the garden to talk with Adam, Adam "hid himself." And man has been trying to hide himself from God ever since. This is spiritual death!

God's plan of salvation is designed for thinking, feeling, responsive human beings - made in the image of God! Yes, God could wipe out all evil now, regardless of man's choices; but this would not FIX man's broken relationship with God, nor would it satisfy the debt caused by sin. We must individually choose to receive God's gift, as a matter of free will, understanding that our sin has offended God's holiness. Without personal repentance (to repent means to turn from sin and turn to God), the love of God could not be figured into  the equation; we would only be mindless robots!

But God "loved the world so much that He gave His only Son!" Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, the debt for sin is has been paid, and man is free once again to know and experience God's love and presence... daily. Just as God called out to Adam in the garden, after he sinned - "Adam, where are you?" - He is calling out to man still today. As the artist's depiction to the right, Jesus is standing at the door of your life... knocking, calling out to you, saying  "Be reconciled to God... the debt is paid... there is no condemnation in Me... I love you.. let Me in."

Here's how the apostle Paul put it in his letter to the Romans. He said:

"Here it is in a nutshell: Just as one person (Adam) did it wrong and got us in all this trouble with sin and death, another person (Jesus) did it right and got us out of it. But more than just getting us out of trouble, he got us into life! One man (Adam) said no to God and put many people in the wrong; one man (Jesus) said yes to God and put many in the right."
--Romans 5:18-19 (The Message Bible)
Now that you've heard the truth, you have a decision to make. I urge you to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. A simple prayer, prayed from a sincerely repentant heart, is all that is required to receive God's gift of salvation. Remember the four spiritual laws:

God loves you and has good plans for you
   Sin separates you from God
Jesus Christ is God's provision to remove the obstacle of sin
   Salvation must be personally received

God is more concerned with the condition of your heart than with your saying the right words, so if you know you have sinned and offended God; if you want to receive God's free gift of forgiveness and life in Christ; just ask... but ask with a sincere heart, and be prepared to change your way of life to one of obedience to Christ. Below is a suggested prayer you may use if you so desire

Lord Jesus, I want to receive your free gift of eternal life! I know I have sinned, and I need your forgiveness. I do believe that you died to take the penalty for my sins; I confess openly that You are Lord, and I believe that you were raised from the dead and ascended to the heavens where You sit at the right hand of God. Thank you for the gift of your life! Now I ask that you come into my life and make me a new creation according to your word, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I now receive your forgiveness, by faith, and through Your grace. Help me now to live a life which is pleasing  to You. Thank you! Amen.

Now if that prayer has expressed the desire of your heart, then, according to the Word of God, YOU ARE SAVED. Don't be concerned if you don't "feel" anything. Feelings have nothing to do with truth! You may or may not feel different; but either way, you MUST rely on the truth of God's Word that you are now saved! Salvation is based on FACT and FAITH; not on feelings. However, remember that genuine faith must produce action! In other words, to say you now have faith in God that you are forgiven, must produce a change in your lifestyle!

We want to help you in your "new life" in Christ, so it is very important now that you tell someone of your decision... perhaps the person that pointed you to this website. Why not contact them now? This will help strengthen and establish your decision to follow Christ. Also, I would love to hear from you, so please E-Mail me.

If you live in the local area, you are invited to meet with us on Sunday; if not, be sure to find a good Church in your area. It is vital that you become a part of a Bible preaching Church. Please allow us to assist you in getting established in the faith - we would be honored to speak personally to you and/or get you some helpful literature. God bless you!
